Bee pollen: Probably everyone has watched a bee that was busy collecting pollen on a flower. The beekeeper calls this pollen pollen. The individual pollen grains are only a few thousandths of a millimeter in size. They are the male germ cells of the flowers. Bees and other insects unconsciously carry the pollen from flower to flower during their collecting activity and thus ensure the pollination of the female flower parts. However, the bees also collect the pollen to feed their brood. With the addition of nectar, they knead millions of the microscopic granules into granulate-like globules, which they fly to the stick in the baskets of their hind legs.

Propolis: Also called putty resin or bee putty resin – is a bacteria-inhibiting substance collected by the bees in the hive. The bees use propolis to defend themselves against pathogens. The bees use it in the hive, in addition to beeswax, to seal cracks and joints. However, it occurs in much smaller quantities than the actual building material beeswax. Propolis is brownish in color, at warm temperatures it is rather sticky, at colder temperatures it is firmer. Ingredients include amino acids, pollen, minerals, essential oils, resins, flavonoids, trace elements, beeswax and enzymes.

Walnut😀 this nut has it all: Numerous valuable ingredients of the walnut have a positive effect on health. For this reason, the kernels of walnuts as well as walnut oil are not only part of the menu in autumn and winter. The delicious fruit can be used in many ways, pure as a snack, in a cake or as a topping on a salad. In the following, you will learn everything about nutritional values, calories, effects and uses of real walnuts – and whether the walnut can also be unhealthy. In addition, we present two delicious recipes with walnuts.

Health effects of nuts
The walnut, more precisely the edible kernel of this tree fruit, is said to have a healthy effect on various bodily functions due to its ingredients. For example, the daily consumption of a handful of walnut kernels as part of a balanced diet should, among other things:

– lower cholesterol levels
– support heart and circulatory health
– promote the ability to concentrate
– stimulate the body’s defenses
– reduce the risk of diabetes
– slow down cancer growth
– promote sleep

Pine nuts : These seeds not only taste good, but are considered a very healthy food with a metabolism-promoting effect and many vitamins, minerals and trace elements. Among the ingredients, the fat-soluble vitamins A and E and the vitamins from the B complex, especially B1, B2 and niacin, which is good for the proper functioning of the skin, are particularly noteworthy. In addition, they contain large amounts of phosphorus (with 100 g kernels, the daily requirement of an adult is almost covered), iron, magnesium, potassium and are rich in the trace element selenium. The latter, like vitamin E, is an effective antioxidant that can protect cells and the heart. Calcium is contained in the seeds rather little.
However, the healthy, peeled kernels of the pine also have something remarkable to offer in the field of macronutrients as part of a healthy diet. Although the protein content is not quite as high as that of other seeds, kernels and nuts, their nutritional values make them well suited for people who follow a vegan or vegetarian diet to provide their own body with protein and other nutrients such as iron or magnesium.

Other components
– Valuable fat content
– Declaring war on elevated cholesterol and blood lipid levels
– Omega-3 fatty acids have many beneficial properties.
– Positive effect on the immune system
In order for our immune system to work well and protect us from harmful influences, our body is dependent on the supply of essential nutrients. One substance that can support the immune system is the trace element selenium. Pine nuts are the food that has the highest content of selenium among all natural foods. Together with the other nutrients they contain, pine nuts are therefore also an excellent way to do something good for your own immune system.
